Fisherbridge Cottage Reviews

Alison
A lovely comfortable property in which we felt very at home. The kitchen had everything you could need, the Christmas decorations were a nice touch and everything else was as listed. The cottage is well situated close to local pubs and buses into Wemouth. We enjoyed being able to walk to the coastal paths and to come home to a cosy fire.
We loved our stay at Fisherbridge Cottage. The house is wonderful, beautifully furnished and extremely comfortable. Everything was as described, if anything even better than the photos. The owners bought a travel cot as they knew we needed one and they were very helpful in all their communications. We would definitely recommend to others.
A beautifully situated cottage, everything you need for a lovely holiday, facilities and welcome pack excellent. Local pubs and shops, 15 minutes to Weymouth beach by car or via Holiday camp walking. Would highly recommend this cottage for all ages, though if I do too much, may never get to book it again. Plenty of information on the cottage, as well as surrounding attractions left to peruse. Thank you to the owners for a fantastic week away.
Absolutely fantastic place to stay perfect location for amenities and a short drive or bus ride to waymouth, would highly recommend it.
Sharon
The house was lovely and cosy, the welcome pack was much appreciated and we had a lovely stay for our week in weymouth.
Sheila
What a beautiful home you have! . Everything we needed and more. Thank you for the welcome pack! Lovely rooms, comfy beds, well equipped kitchen.A handy location for beaches and sightseeing. Lots to see and do in the area . Would recommend the Sun inn at Dorchester.

We had a great week at Fisherbridge cottage Was a great base to explore the area around Weymouth The cottage was well equipped everything there for self catering which we did mostly with a small child and baby . Our granddaughter loved the safe enclosed garden although the garden furniture was a little tired A BBQ would have been a great addition. Overall a wonderful coteage to spend a week
Everything was fine but could do with renewing the mattresses they were very soft and use to a firmer mattress also parking for two cars is very tight and not alot of outside space when neighbours van is parked right on edge of your cottage spaces. Enjoyed our stay their and have stayed their twice now.
Daniel
Amazing property and facilities, spacious clean and comfortable. Everything was supplied including essentials, milk, tea and even a bottle of prosecco . Amazing quality bedding and towels all supplied too. Great location with parking and bus stop just across the road. Highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.
Couldn't find any oven gloves
Had a lovely stay with family, very comfortable and well equipped accommodation. The only suggestion I would make is a 'mind your head' sign at the bottom of the stairs not just visible to people descending. I also think the steepness and shallowness of the treads should be mentioned in the main cottage details.
Denise
Overall our stay was very comfortable, the property was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The welcome pack was a nice touch and very useful. Be aware of the stairs as they are quite steep, no problem for younger people but as grandparents we had to to take extra care on them. Likewise the driveway being on a slope could also be tricky for us. That said no major problem. Our party arrived in two cars one of which we parked in the garage, where it stayed as we used the buses, as the stops were very close. As the weather was good the grandchildren also made good use of the garden. Thank you.
The property was lovely & clean, kitchen & dinning area was the best part of the house. It would have been nice to have more pintbig glasses as we didn't have enough for our size party. The ensuite bathroom was very small & when you were drying yourself you had to open the door to give yourself more room. The master bedroom door didn't shut properly either. The directions to the property weren't great and it was difficult to find. The drive was very steep & when you take 3 cars you have to park one on the steep drive to the right of the property. The road is also a busy road & unfortunately we had to reverse out on to the main road & we had to watch the person reversing out on the main road which isn't ideal. It would have been nice to have had a larger t.v in the lounge as the 32 provided was difficult to see from certain seats it needed to be bigger for a party of 7. Finally, you might want to consider replacing the kettle as we had to redo several drinks because of scaleresidue in the cups.

Lovely cottage and a perfect location. The very steep drive to the main road was a shock but we managed. A spare set of keys would have been handy as sometimes we had to hide them in garden. But overall satisfactory
Beautiful property, very clean and well presented, we love it. The only comment I would add is possibly a stairgate or similar device could be fitted at the top of the stairs as they are quite steep if you have a young family. Otherwise perfect.
A wonderful place to stay! The property is wellequipped, comfortable and very clean, with a pleasant garden as well. Location is convenient for the bus into Weymouth and walking distance to a couple of decent pubs.
Robert
The property is absolutely lovely. Its obvious that the owner has spent time and money making this property immaculate. There are 4 lovely bedrooms. The downstairs is spacious with a large living space and a huge kitchen dining area. There are doors from the kitchen dining out onto the patio and garden. I particularly valued the amenities and facilities which the property provided dishwasher, washing machine, garage, downstairs WC, 6 chair dining table, outdoor garden seating area with table and chairs, parking, 3 x WCs 1 of which is en suite, hoover to name a few. I would happily return to the property again, this is the 5th time we have stayed on a Sykes cottage in Dorset and this was the best. Rob
Claire
A brilliant week at fisherbridge cottage. Very central to visit many places within an hour. Went to lyme regis, weymouth, Bournemouth, sandbanks and lulworth cove. Cottage is well equipped and perfect for a family of 6. Parking on the slope a bit tricky so used the garage and the space opposite. Garden was great for a barbecue. Used the log burner on our wet day.
Francesca
A delightful property with gorgeous interior design detail. A wonderful place to cosy up after days by the coast. Very well equipped.
Absolutely gorgeous cottage, spotlessly clean and a lovely welcome pack when we ... Absolutely gorgeous cottage, spotlessly clean and a lovely welcome pack when we arrived, we used the lovely log burner fire, such a lovely place and the neighbour was sweet too, would definitely recommend and book in the future
A lovely cottage in a very convenient place for buses etc. All the linen and towels were high quality and was great to be provided with plenty of loo rolls, kitchen roll, wood for the burner etc A very well equipped kitchen so we didnt eat out, preferring to enjoy the lovely light kitchen and cosy living room with the wood burner.
Everything one could wish for
The cottage was very clean, tidy, well presented and plenty of kitchen items to use. Beds were very comfy too. We has a great stay, 7 of us in total with 3 small children. The stairs were very steep so would recommend a stair gate, but we blocked this with our suitcases to ensure the kids did not fall down if they got up at night. Parking is steep and limited but no issue really especially with the garage. We all had a great stay, location perfect too for ease to get to places. Thank you. Lovely pre Xmas break and the cottage had lovely Xmas decorations too which was a nice touch....and we had our own elf on the shelf that visited us so the kids were over the moon with 'snowflake'
Claire
The property suited our requirements perfectly. We were on holiday with family to celebrate my husbands 60th birthday. The lounge felt cosy, especially with the log burner in use, but also offered plenty of space for everyone. The kitchen diner was lovely. Often whoever was cooking was joined by everyone else sat round the table chatting and enjoying the bright space. The bedrooms were comfortable and all had plenty of storage. The garage, accessed from the utility, was brilliant as it allowed us to get our 5 month old granddaughter in and out of her car seat in the dry! Having one car in the garage also created more space for our other car to park in front of the property. We had a wonderful week and thoroughly enjoyed staying at Fisherbridge cottage. Its one of the best places my husband and I have stayed in and weve been renting Sykes properties for several years. The location was great for visiting Weymouth and Dorchester. A special mention for the garden centre at Poundbury which looks amazing with all their Christmas displays. Definitely worth a visit.
Beautiful property. It would be nice to have the following. Paper towels, some dish towels, and basic provisions. We only had 3 small rolls of toilet paper. No extras on site.
Kathryn
This property was everything we expected it to be and more. It is comfortable and spacious and beautifully presented .The guest information book was very useful, right down to operating instructions for all the kitchen appliances, log burner and heating. Many thanks to the property owner for the welcome pack, and we hope to return sometime in the future. We definitely recommend this property as not only is it lovely, its location is ideal for being not too far from places of interest and the beach.
This is one of the best holiday cottages we have stayed in. It was perfect.
Andrew
Beautiful cottage, everything we could have wanted was available and more Would return again
We stayed for a week and the cottage was fantastic. We had 7 adults and 1 child. Plenty of room for everyone and a very high spec of finish. This is the best cottage I have stayed in. If I return in a large group to the area this will be the first place I look to see if it is available.
A lovely property, very clean, kitchen equipped to a very high standard with plenty of everything needed. Some nice touches on arrival, such as slippers and bathroom products. The welcome pack of items left on the kitchen table was lovely, as was the pink Prosecco in the fridge! The location was great for us, as was the very handy Spa shop over the road. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely return to Fisherbridge Cottage if we were in the area again in the future.
The property was perfect for our family holiday. Beautifully decorated and well kept, we loved our stay and would definitely stay again.
This has to be the best holiday cottage we have stayed in. Perfectly clean and very comfortable. It is ideally situated to get about or just relax in the garden.
Enjoyed the stay at the cottage very much. Very clean and new facilities. The front door didn't open that well and might need looking at otherwise very pleased with the cottage.
Great property well maintained with a high standard of cleanliness. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to stay again. As we were two families staying an extra set of house keys would have been useful but not essential.
Malcolm
The property is beautifully presented and within easy access to all that Weymouth and the surrounding area has to offer. We did find that although the property lists a microwave there didnt appear to be one unfortunately. Also the stairs to the bedrooms are steeper than some people may be used to, also the designated parking zone, although visitors could make use of the garage to park their car.
Alison
Lovely cottage, beautifully decorated throughout with everything you could wish for to make it a little home from home. Great location to explore Weymouth and the surrounding area.
Jackie
Everything was perfect thank you.
Christopher
Well maintained property with high quality furnishings and appliances, very comfy beds. Being able to use the garage was a real bonus. Would highly recommend this cottage and hope to return again.
Andrew
Excellent. Beautifully presented & well equipped accommodation with high grade appliances. Most important it is possible to be comfortable in bed at night. Lots of little touches which make a difference e.g. quality cookware & crockery, all items matching. Various small electrical appliances & little items like measuring cups.
