The Cheesehouse Reviews

This charming house was perfect for our family reunion. The first day we had a problem with wasps in one of the bathrooms this is a country house with a lot of ivy, and hot weather! and the owner was extremely responsive when we told him about it. The problem was fixed and we thoroughly enjoyed our week. It was lovely eating and relaxing in the gardens. My family are from Dorset so being back in that beautiful county was extra special. And nice to have the pub down the lane in which to watch the World Cup!

The accommodation is really comfortable and everything is well stocked. The beds are comfortable. The only thing lacking were TVs in bedrooms as we are used to having them and it helps us to fall asleep. I would recommend the property and would return.
O arrival, our physical viewings were on par with the photographs. Excellent. The accomodation was fantastic and so suitable for nine of us and two dogs two grandparents, four 'ordinary ' parents, and three grandsons 11, 11 & 15. Under supervision, their first experience of snooker, and they loved it. Thankyou. With all of the wonderful facilities available, we were like three family units, in one cottage and it worked beautifully. We all felt that we could not help but relax, when the TV was off and the mobiles were stashed for a couple of hours. Delightful surrounding area in a lovely village with a brilliant pub, with excellent food, just 200 yards away. The owner and his family went that extra mile to help make our stay even more comfortable. Such a well equiped and maintained cottage. Thankyou to James and family.

Lovely house, beautiful rooms. Warm. Gardens lovely village nice. Pub friendly. Only one criticism no ceiling lights! So all rooms dark as only lamps, lots of them. Lots of games left for us to play with. Great for families to meet up. Not bus stop in village

We absolutely loved staying at the Cheesehouse. It was roomy, comfortable, has a great kitted out kitchen especially useful at Christmas and the men loved the snooker and darts. Thank you so much. We hope to return.
