Greystones, Lyme Regis

We've just returned from a great week at Greystones. The house is very spacious, especially the bedrooms, and has all the equipment you need. There is a good selection of games and books, and ample storage space. It was great to have 3 parking spaces behind the house and a nice garden. The view from the lounge is stunning, but the walk down to the town centre and back is quite steep, okay for the younger members of our family

We had a lovely week at this property in Lyme. It is a climb to get to it from the main town but by the end of the week, we had found a few short cuts! We didn't really use the garden as there is no direct access to it. We asked for one of the twin rooms to be made into a king bed, but this request was ignored. The kitchen is dated but functional. The kettle needs to be replaced as we found some days it kept switching itself off. The taps of the bedroom basin need attention dripping. The upstairs bathroom toilet wouldn't flush properly. Rubbish days are NOT what is written in the guest book or on the sign in the kitchen. Needs updating. New TV was appreciated. Beds comfy. We would come back to this property as the parking was great, and house overall very good if some things improved and in great position overlooking the sea. We loved Lyme, especially eating fish and chips sitting on the Cobb!!

Grey stones is very convenient for the beach and local shopping. We parked the car on arrival and didnt use it again until we left. A very relaxing holiday for all including the driver!

Lyme Regis is a fabulous resort, with a sandy and safe lifeguard patrolled beach. Very clean town. An excellent week with three generations including three young children. A fantastic fireworks display over the harbour rounded off our holiday. Greystones was very clean and comfortable, and generally as described, however the tiny, rather messy teapot didn't work for us. Kitchen is functional. Off road parking was good, don't expect parking in View Road. Overgrown vegetation made difficult front door access laden with beach paraphernalia, and bin access. Perhaps laminate the bin calendar and put it under the instructions. There were bags in the bin on arrival day. We put the bin out when other houses in the street did but ours wasn't emptied. Garden space limited. Table and 4 ? chairs with bird poop not really '...perfect spot for morning coffee...' Beware the indoor door stops, very cute but a potential trip hazard in the dark. More bags needed for used bedding and towels for four bedrooms. Separate washer and drier would have helped with sandy beach towels and washing for 8 people but we managed with the warmer weather. A wetter week could have been problematic. Contacted Sykes about review and TV channels. Advised that not Smart so description not incorrect, but small screen and not great sound quality. Vintage looking TV. The property has WiFi and good enough Smart TVs are relatively inexpensive. With three young children tired from busy beach days, shared down time with a decent telly before tea and for adults at night would be good with free to watch channels like BBC i player etc. People can log into their own Netflix and other internet channels. The rental was over 2,500 for the week so not cheap as chips, but the fish and chips we had in Lyme were delicious! A shout out to the town of Lyme Regis!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house is lovely, spotlessly clean, in a great location, and the beds were very comfortable. The offstreet parking at the back was a real bonus. A couple of things could be improved the garden needs a good tidy, the path and steps were covered in fallen leaves and the shrubs overgrown, restricting access to the front door, bins and key safe. The TV is not a smart TV and only has a few working channels, which was a bit limiting in the evenings.

Greystones was a fabulous property. It was extremely well equipped plenty of space for us all. In walking distance to the town . Lyme Regis is very hilly so more suited to fit walkers . A great holiday

Please check waste collection dates. Info in property totally incorrect. Next recycling collection according to council website is this Monday and bin is full. Waste bin was put out last Monday. Dining chairs seat covers badly need replacing.

Very pleased with the house. It was exactly as described. The reason we chose this house was the space in the house and off road parking.

2nd time we've stayed here. Great location and lovely house, spotlessly clean and well maintained.

One of my guests thinks she left a royal blue hoodie and a lightweight blue, red and white scarf at Greystones. Are you able to provide any information about this, please?

Overall lovely house and enjoyed our stay. Very generous welcome pack with tea, coffee and fruit juice, sweet and savoury biscuits and milk.Lovely views from living room. Very clean and mainly well maintained. Good selection of games, books etc. Kitchen quite small for 8 but very well equipped with dishes, cutlery etc. Could have done with extra dishcloths and black bags. Very hilly area so could prove challenge if less mobile or pushing buggy. But easily walked into village .This applies to Lyme Regis in general. Very busy as booked in school holiday. Best parking near Cobb as smaller car parks off main street get very full. Lots of coffee shops , clothes shops and souvenir shops and a Tesco but no chemist! Would visit again out of school holiday times

We had a wonderful stay in Greystones. The house was spacious, light and airy with comfortable, modern furnishings and well equipped for an extended stay. The kitchen feels a little dated but is still clean, functional and well equipped. Beds were very good and there was plenty of bedroom storage. The location of the property is on a hill, quite a steep one coming up from the town. The views from the back of the house are great, saw the most amazing sunrise over the sea.

Wonderful house for all the family. We loved the games and the dinosaurs who live there! Very well equipped kitchen and great having hand soap provided in every bathroom. Comfy beds. Great location and wonderful views of the sea and later the moon over the bay. Beautiful.

Lovely house in a great location, just a few minutes walk to the shops and pubs. Spotlessly clean and everything we needed for our long weekend in beautiful Lyme Regis.

The property is in a fantastic location and the space was perfect. The really nice and bright living area with the panoramic views was perfect for finishing off the day with some games. Would defo return!

Perfect large family house in easy walking distance to town, sea front and local amenities. Very well equipped and with easy parking. Very much felt like a home away from home! Would stay again and highly recommend.

Perfect holiday home for us, would definitely recommend. 4 good sized bedrooms one on the ground floor with bathroom alongside, which was great for grandad. Views from the sitting room window were spectacular. Lyme Regis is a fantastic holiday destination with lots to enjoy. It is quite hillysteep with some narrow roads and pavements, which might be challenging for some. Our grandad was 87 and managed really well, and will go home a little fitter!

Nice house in a good location with parking for 3 cars. Good views out over the bay. Ten minute walk downhill into the town centre. Slight hitch in that the keys weren't at the property when we arrived but that was soon sorted.
