New Boathouse Reviews

Very nice home and a good size for our family. Unfortunately, the place was not clean. The bathrooms in particular. There was also a lot of noise in the very early hours of the morning for deliverys for the local pub. We enjoyed our stay, although would not look to stay again.
Judith
We had two small issues only four dinner forks and a slight link to the Wash hand basin in the downstairs loo. Both items were sorted in a few hours of reporting them . Thank you. We had a wonderful stay and found it so easy to walk around Weymouth.
Lovely house in an excellent area. Close to shops and beach. The 2 parking permits were a great bonus as we were able to park cars and leave them for the week. House suited us perfectly with 4 adults and 2 children. Only thing I would say was missing was a clothes airer, there is a washing line outside but with the unpredictable weather an airer would have been useful. Would definitely book again.

Due to cancellation of my event didn't stay just still had to pay fully. I gave gloomy face as did not see the place. Did notify agent so unsure why got survey?
The property is in a perfect location for the harbour restaurants, bars, and shops. I have stayed in the property next door twice so we New it was convenient for everything. The kitchen was very well equipped with a good washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher, which was invaluable with a small child and a baby. Theres a lovely big dining table for all of us to sit round together 5 adults, we enjoyed some meals prepared by us plenty of cooking equipment but takeaways as well. The lounge is a little small but not a problem at all, the bedrooms are all very comfortable with good beds and us all having plenty of room and the on suite bathrooms a bonus. The parking is fine once you find a space which we did very near the property on a busy Saturday teatime. We had a lovely holiday and would love to come again soon. Thank you

This was our third stay at the New Boathouse, so we knew exactly what we were going to get, and we were not disappointed. We were also aware of the challenges of finding a parking space, which is the only downside but the house is so central that everything you want is within walking distance.
We have stayed at the new boat house 3 times now the cleanliness of the house ... We have stayed at the new boat house 3 times now the cleanliness of the house was not good this time behind all the drawers in all the bedrooms was choc wrappers vape wrappers dirty skirtingboards cobwebs everywhere very dirty under setee
Our only grumble was a the lack of reading lamps, particularly in the top floor bedrooms. Some lamps in the lounge would be nice too, as the ceiling light is a bit harsh. b the lack of places to hang clothestowels, again, on the top floor especially. Other than that, a very comfortable property, and an excellent position. We thoroughly enjoyed being so close to the harbour and all areas of interest.
Cottage in a good position close to the harbour and high street. A nicely appointed cottage, lovely kitchen diner space. Our only critisism is that, despite not being able to access the cottage until 5 pm due to deep cleaning, there were areas for concern regarding cleanliness Scruffy old mat in front of the garden access door was dirty. Kitchen floor not particularly clean. A very dirty grill tray in the oven. Rubbish old dental brush and an old key fob down the side of the bedside cabinet in the master bedroom. We felt that the property had certainly NOT been deep cleaned.
Rebecca
The accommodation was excellent, and we had the most wonderful holiday, near to everything, couldn't have wished for better. Tried to book for next May 28th3rd June, but booked up, oh dear, lucky them. Rebecca Pearce August 21
Me and my family have now stayed at the new boat house twice and love it so much we are returning again next year . The location is perfect ,the house is beautiful and very clean ,we are always really sad to leave ,We are already looking forward to next year .
Darren
Location was great. So much to see and do tight on your doorstep.
Sykes really helpful and professional. Accommodation really clean and lovely, would use again.
Rachel
Excellent house, location is perfect. Only downside is trying to find a parking space in the right permit area. This is our 2nd year in the house and we will be back again for sure.
Location perfect for week stay. Close to harbour and centre. The house was well laid out for large family holiday. Two parking permits supplied for on street parking close by. Found spaces fairly easily. Local neighbour noticed we had parked in one space that was outside the permit spaces provided and property owner very kindly contacted us to move our vehicle. This prevented us getting a penalty notice ticket which we noticed another vehicle was given later in the week in the same space, We really appreciated the call. Would definitely recommend and book again in the future,
The house is far nicer than the pictures on your website show. Fantastic location!!!
Tricia
Lovely 5 days in this very comfortable property. Very lucky to have been in Weymouth for a very sunny Christmas day, experiencing the annual harbour swim and then champagne on the beach! Lots of friendly bars and restaurants too. Boat house great for our group with lovely large kitchen area to sit and chat. A few things missing to make stay even more comfortable Knives very blunt had to go and buy a set Mirrors no mirror in top floor bathroom or bedrooms
Penelope
This was our second visit to the property this year. Every time we visit we are not disappointed. The property, location, quietness surrounding the property, even though there has been building work going on next door, looks like it is finished now, we are completely satisfied. Thank you again, Dream Cottages for making all our holidays with you over the years really satisfactory.
Samantha
Fantastic cottage, lots of equipment provided saucepans, toaster, microwave, microwaveable dishes, oven, roastingpie pans, fridgefreezer, cutlery and crockery. Towels, soap and washing updishwasher tablets provided. Comfortable seating and a really good sized dining table. Plenty of entertainment in the cottage with books, DVDs, Sky TV and jigsaws. The beds were all good. The 'child sized' single is suitable for a shorter adult, I'm, 5'2 and slept very well on it. Dishwasher and washing machine worked very well and rotary line provided in the courtyard. All the family adults only loved the cottage. Parking is a bit hit and miss as the permit zones are also available for 1 hour without a permit but generally found a space, but there are plenty of car parks near by if you can't find one. Plenty to do in Weymouth in walking distance from the cottage. The building work didn't disturb us and was an advantage as it meant the road was closed so pedestrian access only.
Rachel
New Boathouse is perfectly situated, right next to the harbour and the town and a small walk to the beach. We had 2 families in the house and it was the perfect size, very clean and spacious. We will definitely be back.
Lesley
This was our 5th visit to Weymouth and our 2nd year at the New Boathouse. Its a great location, easy to reach beach and the harbour and having 2 ensuite plus family bathroom is just perfect.
We all had a lovely vacation in the New Boathouse. It is a spacious and comfortable house. The only thing that I can fault is upon arrival no tea and biscuits available. In other houses that we have rented, there has always been a welcome tray. After a long journey it was missed. Weymouth exceeded all our expectations too. It is a fun place to be with something for every age group. The Fish Fest was nice too.
Alison
The new boathouse was fantastic. It was extremely clean and in the perfect location in the heart of Weymouth. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning.
Location is amazing and parking was no issue due to the two parking permits. Layout, use of space and finish was excellent for two families to share. When staying for a week we did miss a few basics like a cheese grater which we've now left one in the kitchen for the next guests, large drinking glasses, batteries in the clock so it worked it was always correct twice a day! and a radio in the kitchen. We fully appreciate not everyone would use a grater, listen to the radio or want to drink a pint of beer however as s group we felt this would make it more homely and less like a rental property. We loved the Old Boathouse and would definately return. Thank you.
Penelope
As always Dream Cottages gave us the highest standard of comfort and cleanliness. The building work adjacent did not affect us in any way. We have been with you for many years, and you have never failed. If there was a little problem it was rectified very quickly. Thank you again for a very special holiday.
Clean tidy and well presented property. Great service from staff. We have used Dream Cottages several times before and will do so again. Highly recommended. Thanks. Stayed July 2018
A really nice house! Great location, within walking distance of everything pubs, shops, restaurants, sandy beach, harbor, marina, Fort Nothe... but in very quiet surroundings. The house is very well furnished, the beds are comfortable . We spent a really great week in Weymouth and we would definitely come back! Stayed July 2017
