Great house, very well presented, fully equipped with everything we needed . . cork screw easy to find!! Gentle strolling distance into town, and superb walks right on the doorstep. Would thoroughly recommend.
Lovely house, perfect space for a large group to socialise as the large kitchen, dining and games pool table room were all open plan. Quiet time with a log fire available in the separate lounge. Master bedroom was huge with large ensuite incorporating a walk in shower and free standing bath. Very spacious and relaxing accommodation. Large Park next to the house to walk the dog. Short walk to the beach and into Swanage. Well located with its own parking. We loved it.
This property was outstanding. 7 of us stayed with dogs. The size of rooms and space was ideal. Rooms very spacious. Loved the set up with large table being able to see through to games room and large kitchen plus little tv room separate. Beds were comfy & very clean house throughout. Lovely stroll to seafront. Driveway space for our 3 cars.
We visited No. 49 last week with our two daughters and 8 year old grand daughter. The house was very spacious and easily accommodated all of us with room to spare. It was well furnished, and equipped with everything we needed. 10 minutes walk to the beach and about 20 minutes into the centre of Swanage. Thank you Liz.

Great house in a good location. Spacious and comfortable with everything to hand. We particularly enjoyed having fun in the Games Room. A well clipped spacious house in a great position for a family holiday
I thought I new the sykes product not anymore, have you become too big to care? 49 Ulwell rd needs a back to square one deep clean up to the skirting boards The dishwasher and oven were disgraceful and some glasses, crockery and cutlery turned your stomach. The bed top covers need a damn good wash as does the pool room settee cover better still replaced. And the space under our bed was being used to store bulk purchases of kitchens consumables. The outside is scruffy, dirty and unsuitable for children to play, we came early to our clean respectable homes. We are sadly disappointed in Sykes, I personally have booked around 89 times with you and have been totally satisfied. It is patently obvious that noone is running a check on the REAL cleanliness of such rental accommodation. You know our booking history, in the next days you would have received our return booking for six. We will be in Swanage next year but have lost confidence in Sykes. A quick flash round with a hoover and wipe over is not acceptable! Genuinely, sadly disappointed, we have also rented the owners other Ulwell Road property know she will be upset. K Dyche

My family and I had a wonderful few days staying here. It was very clean and comfortable and plenty of room for 7 of us and a dog! The pool table was a great hit for children and adults and it was situated just off the kitchen so we could still all be together. The only slight negative was the lounge was very small for 7 people. However we just spent all our time in the kitchen instead! Thank you!

We had a wonderful Christmas at 49 Ulwell Road with 3 generations aged between 19 and 93, plus our cocker spaniel. The huge kitchen with adjoining games room meant that we were often altogether, but not on top of one another. The Christmas decorations and welcome goodies were greatly appreciated. The bedrooms are super and so fab to have 4 bathrooms one upstairs is not mentioned on the listing It was great to be able to walk to the beach in five minutes and a really short drive to the beach at Studland and to Corfe Castle. I cannot recommend this property highly enough well be back!

Lovely, comfortable home with room for everyone to be together but space to be apart too. Location is convenient for local facilities and lots of local independent shops. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely property in a good location at a very reasonable price, kitchen diner really has the wow factor and is excellently equipped. The games room I can imagine would be appreciated by younger guests. Could benefit from a few more comfortable seats in the snug for us oldies, however that is a minor point as we had a wonderful stay. Worth noting its an easy 1015 minute walk into town, mostly along the front, but if you dont want to walk the bus stops conveniently very near the house
Had a wonderful holiday in a beautiful house although the garden would benefit from a good clear out of old trees and bushes. Which have become rather overgrown.
Its our second stay in this lovely house, which is presented to a high standard and very clean. Plenty of room for all of the family and the grandchildren loved the games room. The only negative thing was the bed pillows. They could do with a refresh. Overall we all had a great time, Would not hesitate to recommend this property.
We were a family of 9 6 adults and 3 children aged 710 who stayed at 49 Ulwell Road for a week in August 24. The house was perfectly located to access the beach and the centre of Swanage, and we loved having the park just behind the house. The facilities downstairs were brilliant, with an amazing kitchen dining room with the pool room just off the side. The lounge was also comfortable. We would definitely recommend the house to others.

Beautiful well equipped property for a large family group, Quiet location but only a short stroll to the beach and shore road. Loved the welcome hamper and the men enjoyed the pool table and also the cricket ground next door. Perfect property for our family to enjoy Swanage during carnival week. Wouldnt hesitate to stay again, in fact our 6 year old granddaughter cried as she didnt want to go home. More wonderful memories made in one of our favourite holiday destinations.

Lovely house that worked well for 3 generations of family. It was nice having a get together in the very large kitchen and the location is superb! 10min walk down into swanage and its lovely beach and seafront.
We had a really lovely stay. The photos online don't do this property justice. It was bigger all round and more impressive than we imagined. The kitchen was well equipped, and it was a nice addition to have an ice dispenser in the fridgefreezer. The bedrooms were all a good size other than the single, which was exactly that. The master bedroom was great, with a beautiful and large ensuite. The pool table was good fun. We did have issues getting the TV to work in the games room though. I contacted Skye Cottages about this on day 2, and they didn't get back to me to ask further questions, not to solve this on day 6. I didn't bother trying to get this sorted for the one remaining day. The garden was slightly smaller than we imagined, which wouldn't have been a concern if we didn't have young children wanting to run around. However, there was a field and play park out the back of the property, which was a pleasant suprise. The only thing we'd have liked was additional seating in the living room. There wasn't enough for the 6 adults who stayed. The proximity to the beach was amazing. It was so nice to walk the simple 10 minute journey to the seafront. Myself and family have been visiting Swanage for the past 35 years. This is a beautiful property with a fantastic location. We shall definitely come back thank you.
The cottage is the star of the show and easily accommodated 3 family generations and a dog. It is easy to be picky but here is some feedback. Hope it can improve what is a superb offering. 1. Initial WOW factor let down by some very dirty windows onto decking. Also the skylights upstairs are lovely but dirty. 2. Garden furniture adequate but in need of update as the sun deck is a superb feature. 3. Kitchen is very well equipped but tea cups and crockery in general needs refining. Only builders mugs are available some smaller are needed. The opposite end of the scale a decent sized teapot would be great. 4. We found the cooker disappointing in performance. Does it lack gas supply?. The ovens did not heat up enough to brown food. 5 Barbecue was superb. 6. Garden is very dog friendly and secure.
A fabulous holiday home. We had lovely weather so was able to make use of the decking. We loved the amazing kitchendining area and the beautiful master ensuite. The house is situated within walking distance to the beachtown centre and has a play park behind it. We were a multigenerational family group of 6 adults, 1 young child and a baby and it was perfect for us.

Great property, plenty of space. Pool table a big hit. Lounge only has seating for 5 but we spent all time in kitchendiner and pool room so no problem. Great area, easy walk to beach and town area and to coast path.

Loved the house and location. Really well equipped. Only minor problem was use of the TV, particularly the one in the lounge where we couldn't make it work. The one in the games room was a little tricky but manageable to the younger ones in the group!. Had absolutely fantastic holiday in this lovely house.

Lovely large spacious house , great location,weather was good so used the garden for socialising,plenty of room pool table used every day great addition to house,bed in bedroom 2 was quite loose and slats fell through in the night meaning my son left 2 days early but this was going to rectified for the next guests. Apart from this a great stay really nice house so we hope to be back next year

We were 3 generations of our family and a dog and the house suited us perfectly. The location was excellent with just a short walk down to a dog friendly beach, or into the town . The large kitchendining room with the bifold doors leading to the sun deck was a real bonus along with the weather and was our main gathering area. The house was well furnished and supplied with everything you could possibly need. We hope to return one day.
We had a lovely holiday here. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed. It was in a good location next to the park and walking distance to the beach. The only issue was that the bed in the second ensuite is broken and would benefit from being repaired.
We would like to re book this property for the period May 27th to June 1st 2024 PLEASE confirm availability ASAP. A Rebooking in 48hrs says it all! Best

We had a wonderful family weekend at this beautiful property to celebrate my 60th Birthday & Mothers Day. It is extremely spacious and accommodated all of us comfortably. Absolutely loved the very spacious & well equipped kitchen and the welcome basket was very thoughtful and gratefully appreciated by all. Lovely ornaments and personal touches throughout the property which makes the property very homely. It is in a great location, with everything you need within easy reach. There is a park behind the property. 10mins walk to the beautiful sandy beach. Local pub a few mins away. The property is exceptional and look forward to returning again soon.
