Brewers House Reviews

Norman
E found the property met most of our needs. Location for Weymouth town is good. Property was clean and tidy with a well equipped kitchen. For us the downside was we booked because the property offered onsite parking via a garage, what it failed to point out was this is only accessible via a narrow alleyway with a 90deg turn into the garage, making only accessible for small family car, this meant we had to take pot luck on parking in the street
The house was very comfortable and we really enjoyed our stay and we would certainly stay at the house again. The only concern that i have is that i use a mobility scooter and there is a step at the front gate, it would be more convenient of there was a ramp from the road to the front path where the scooter could be parked inside the gate. it negates lifting the scooter over the step and makes life a bit easier.
We had a really lovely stay at Brewers House and were very comfortable appreciated the comfy beds and the comfortable front room. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. Loved the established fragrant plants in the garden. We felt the house was let down by the decor in some places, particularly the hallways and stairways which had a strange smell, so didn't give the house the best first impressions. We think the little sun room could be made much more comfortable and then you would enjoy sitting there more. The bathroom door had glass windows which made it lack privacy. However the location of the house is excellent and was a great base for exploring the area. Thank you!

We have had a lovely holiday . However, we felt the house was not up to your usual standard. Some cutlery, utensils and pots and pans were dirty. Cupboard doors and door tops were dirty. It was extremely dusty and cobwebs everywhere. No cleaning products were in either bathroom at all The hoover was broken and extremely difficult to use. None of the bulbs in the main bedroom worked. There were a lot of steps in the garden and 2 steps down to the kitchen which were a hazard for our 2 year old which were not mentioned. Stairgates would have been very useful for both sets of stairs .

Brewer's House was perfect for my family ! We intend to stay in another town next year but have Brewer's House in mind for future stays in Weymouth.

The property was ok. The beds, although a bit firm, were clean as were the bedrooms. The living room was reasonably comfortable. The kitchen was very poor. The dishes, plates etc are all crazed. The bakingcooking trays were unusable. The grill oven filled the room with smoke and set the smoke alarm in the house going. The dishwasher filter was disgusting. There were mice running around the kitchen and the man that came to lay traps found plenty of dropping and traps previously placed. The matter needs urgent attention. I have rented many houses, big and small, in both UK and France all superior to this and have never faced vermin in any. Rubbish disposal was also a problem.
My family really enjoyed their few days at Brewers. Very comfortable. We were impressed a problem with the boiler and no hot water was dealt with very quickly. Thankyou
Nice house and garden. Lots of space for our party of 5 adults. We parked one car in the garage and we were lucky to get a on street parking spot for our 2nd car. Some of the crockery and utensils could do with an update but we managed just fine. Short walk to the harbour. Approx 15 minutes walk to nearest supermarket. This was our first visit to Weymouth. Lots of nice places to eat and drink within easy walking distance. Lots to keep us entertained, we didnt need to leave Weymouth or use the cars and the weather was lovely. We would recommend this property.

My family have been staying at Brewer's House for a few years now . ..it's exactly what we need !
Brewers house was a lovely stay great location for us. Having a garden was great and the neighbors would Chuck the ball back over when my boys was playing football. The games room was brilliant for our boys we took there Xbox and set it up in there and still had the living room to chill in. It was quite clean bit of dust in some rooms that was missed . Kitchen could do with a lick of paint but was fine had everything we needed. Had two bathrooms but if someone was having a shower or running the bathroom in second floor bathroom the shower would not work in 3rd floor bathroom so that was a bit of a pain. Having the garage was great as two families went . Parking outside the house was not the best but as we pulled up someone just came out a space so we got a space , so we did not use our car all holiday cause when someone moved there was someone straight in the space. We did love the house tho was perfect for our families and kids. Would definitely stop again. Thanks
Mention should be made in the listing that the stairs to the top floor are very steep and we had to alter our sleeping arrangements as a result. There was a lack of user manuals for various appliances oven hob and gas fire. We searched all over and it would be helpful to have them all in a folder. The controls on the shower in the bathroom were difficult to use the slightest adjustment could change the water from cold to too hot. it was a lack of user manual. We had booked a cot and a high chair and on arrival thought they hadnt been provided. We eventually found them in cupboards it would have been helpful if they were out on display.
Great stay, location was perfect to walk to the harbour and beech. House had everything we needed and was spacious and comfortable. Only slight issue no toilet roll on arrival as mentioned so just be prepared for that, otherwise highly recommended
Although we had a lovely holiday in Weymouth we would not stay at Brewers House again. Parts of the property could do with being updated and the beds were very soft personal preference I know. There were issues with both sets of neighbours and we constantly felt like we were being watched. We had some music playing in the garden not loud and because it was a windy day one neighbour asked us to turn it down as it was carrying in the wind. He also told us he was having some work carried out on his property and that there would be noise of which there was but luckily we were out during the day so we avoided this. The other neighbour questioned the light which was left on in the garden, of which was on when we arrived. He asked us to turn it off, he stated it was quite a simple task, and if we needed assistance we could give him the keys and he would pop in whilst we were out during the day to do it for us! In fact you could not turn the power to the light off without turning the power to the garage door off, and as we were using the garage it was on the majority of the time We did turn the power off in the evening to turn the light off but it was supposed to be a sensor light of which the sensor wasn't working otherwise it wouldn't have been on all the time.

Brewer's House is perfect for all my family to enjoy a holiday together ! We were all very comfortable again for a third stay there . Its ideally placed....not far from the town and beach, just a stroll through the harbour and over the bridge. We're not going to better Brewer's House for our main annual holiday all together !
Overall we were very pleased with the property. Only complaint is that the shower heads could have been cleaner
The house was situated in a area that was a small walk from main shops and promenade and sea front. There were several ways to walk to the front all of them being pleasant.people taking a car will be surprised how large the garage is we have a vw tiguan bit of manoeuvre to get in but ok 10 out of 10.the house was same as the pictures shown internet.
We have stayed in this lovely house before so we new what to expect, we brought our own stair gate as the stairs to the top floor where a childs bedroom is are very steep. There was plenty of room for us 5 adults 1 child and we enjoyed breakfasts and takeaways at the big table in the kitchen. Parking was fine in the garage at the back of the house and on the street at the front. The house is situated in an ideal spot easy to get into the centre of Weymouth but nice and quiet as well. We loved our stay thanks very much.

Everything was perfect for us ! There are few houses that can accommodate all my family 7 adults plus my 2.5 yr old granddaughter, but Brewer's House does it . we had a fabulous week together....a perfect holiday. Thanks.
Lesley
Although there were two bathrooms, we couldnt use them at the same time due to water pressure, so showering at the end of each day had to be quite strategic. Also, the information files had contradictory info. One stated no recycling and the other gave recycling details. We reluctantly chose not to recycle. That said, we did all have a lovely time in Weymouth. Thank you.
The house was better than we thought. The photos didnt do it justice. Great location, lots of room and very clean.
The very top floor has 2 lovely bedrooms, one for a child I think a stair gate if possible would be an ideal, as the stairs up to this floor are very steep.
Parking is tricky as it is on street parking. Light bulbs not working in two of the bedrooms had to go out and buy some. Which left behind for the next family. Shower top floor was good but the jet settings need to be descaled. Lot of bits and bobs from previous occupants. It was a great location and really hand for the town and beach. Accommodation is over three floors you need to be fit to stay at the top as the stairs are very tight.

How clean and well equipped the cottage was. We would recommend it to anybody, all the family had a great time. Mrs L Caloe
The house was great and beautiful little garden. . nice and clean and great location. 10 mins walk to the harbour wheres theres loads of restaurants and pubs maybe another 5ish mins to the beach good size rooms and bathrooms, lots of space for the whole family to hang out in. only thing i would say is the loft rooms are hot in the summer so maybe need some fans. tea and coffee already there which was nice asda is a few minutes walk or drive away. Highly recommend staying here
We believe that both showers need replacing as they are not as good as they should be. The bathroom is an awkward shape and so not much can be done there, but the shower door needs to be more solid as it moves too easily. The garden chais had not been wiped for some time and the garden needed weeding. Usually parking on the road outside is not strictly true. Thank goodness for the garage. Other than that, we had a lovely holiday and the house was lovely too.
