Harbins Farm Reviews

Catherine
What a beautiful place in an ideal location. The cottage looks small from outside but is a tardis on the inside. Loads of room for 10 people. The Kitchen is large & well stocked with everything you could need. Outside a wrap around garden which the children loved. We were 4 generations and all loved it. There is a small games room in the courtyard just outside, that was a lovely surprise. Host Sarah is lovely, a small problem sorted instantly.
Harbins Farm is set in a quiet, peaceful, rural position surrounded by fields. Wow is the first impression as our three generation family walked through the door and it only got better as we explored the house. All furniture and equipment was of excellent quality and the sofas and beds really comfortable. There was plenty of crockery and cooking utensils for the ten of us. The whole house was very spacious and spotlessly clean and tidy. The downstairs bedroom with ensuite is very useful if anyone is unable to manage stairs. The garden was well established and the grandchildren had great fun there and also playing basket ball in the yard along with table tennis and darts in the car port. Actually the adults all joined in with the fun too. If you're lucky as we were you may see the voles running along the edge of the flower beds who are gorgeous little animals. The owners Sarah and Guy live locally and were lovely and very knowledgeable of the local area. We saw them regularly as the children enjoyed visiting their hens to feed them and collect eggs. If we had had any issues they would have been there in a trice. Among other activities they suggested walking across the fields to a local caf at Round Chimneys Farm where we spent an enjoyable couple of hours. We visited Weymouth twice during our stay at the request of the grandchildren who were desperate to go crabbing again. Weymouth is your old fashioned seaside town with crabbing, arcades, funfairs, donkey rides, fish and chips and ice creams along with the most gorgeous beach with soft, fine white sand. We all wished we could have stayed longer in Harbins Farm and we will definitely be back. Thank you Sarah and Guy for a fabulous week. It was lovely to meet you both and we'll see you again soon. xx

Superb country accommodation ideal for the 3 generations that visited. The annexe was perfect for the seniors. Beautifully presented and furnished to the highest specification. Stacks of the things for the youngsters to do in the garden and yard, and a great location to explore the area .Probably the best one we have stayed in. Sarah and Guy our hosts were most pleasant and obliging. Highly recommended!
Rachel
My friends and I had such a superb weekend staying at Harbins Farm. The house was so spacious and well equipped, set in the beautiful Dorset countryside. The peace and quiet of the farm set on an cul de sac made it even more relaxing. The extra additions of the mini football goals, basketball hoop, croquet set and table tennis table made the weekend even more fun!
The property and its facilities were absolutely marvellous. As they might say on the TV programme Homes Under The Hammer, the property was decorated and furnished to a very high specification. We were a three generation party of 8 and everybody loved their stay. The location of the house was so quiet and peaceful. The gardens and the activities available suited us all, from grandad in a chair in the shade of a tree down to our 2 earlyteen grandchildren playing with the equipment in the garden. Excellent!
The farm house is lovely, really spacious and all the rooms are well appointed. The kitchen dining space was perfect for our family group with ample seating leading into the conservatory overlooking the garden. The downstairs bedroom, which is really a self contained annexe with extra kitchen and lounge area, was great for using as the childrens tv room, whilst the adults had a large comfortable sitting room. The wrap around garden was wonderful and well established. The small downside in the garden was the fencing wasnt completely secure for our dogs so we needed to watch them in case they wanted to go for a country wander! The owners were nearby and very attentive when we had a query about the house, nothing was too much trouble. Overall we had a lovely stay at Harbins Farm which is very rural, surrounded by beautiful fields, countryside, other farms and animals.

Had a very nice weekend break in this well maintained and very comfortable cottage. Lots of space for multigenerational families. Quiet and peaceful location with a very pretty garden for relaxing. Kitchen was well equipped.
