Seaview Reviews

Caroline
This has been our second visit to Seaview, and it was like coming home. The bungalow is nicely spacious and has an ideal layout for our party, with 2 bedrooms parents and children sharing a showerbathroom at one end of the building, and a third bedroom with a showerroom all to itself grandparents close to the diningroom and living room. There is ample storage for food, clothes, boots and shoes etc, and the whole place is light and bright. Grandpa loves sitting in the sunny conservatory, and there is enough garden to satisfy 2 active little girls. And its own 2car parking space! Heaven we love it.
Edward
Easy to find from instructions & really close to amenities & a short drive to other places of interest! I did find the beds would be nicer if they were more comfortable though but that wouldnt put me off staying again for its location!
Sea view is a really lovely place to stay. The owners have put a great deal of thought into the cottage and facilities from the welcome pack to the information book! We were lucky enough to sit outside a few times, but the conservatory was a welcome place to sit on caller days. The owners were quick to respond to queries too.
Christine
We are return bookers of Seaview and this was our fourth visit there. We're 3 generations, from 6 years to 80 years old and the size and configuration of the accommodation is ideal for us all. The outside space is very social and our extended family members who stay elsewhere can join us in the evenings. Climbing the hill is cheaper than gym membership.
Lovely property in a great location, perfect for multi generational family break. We have just booked for the third time.
Hilary
We had a wonderful stay here. Our party consisted of myself, my husband, my son, his wife and their one year old son. There was a lot of space in this property which suited us all perfectly.
Carole
We have just spent a lovely week at Seaview celebrating our 35th Wedding Anniversary with our family. It was our Grandchildren's first holiday, aged 10 months and 3 months old and Seaview is perfect for larger family gatherings. Lovely being able to park three cars and not needing them during our stay as we walked everyday into town and went on the steam train to Corfe one day. Lots of places to eat but make sure you pre book. Black Swan and La Trattoria were our favourite alongside the Fish Plaice. They even have a Wimpy! Seaview has wonderful views from the front of the bungalow and is a lovely quiet location. It has everything you need to enjoy your stay here, well equipped and spacious and a lovely big Utility room which can easily accommodate a couple of prams. We would definitely recommend staying here.
Caroline
We had a fabulous week in Seaview, which was spacious, light and airy, and very comfortable. The two little girls loved all the playing spaces and the garden, and having such an excellent kitchenutility space was a real boon. Everything a family needs is there, and I wholeheartedly recommend it.
A wonderful cottage in a perfect location for walking the South West Coast path. The cottage is very warm and cosy and very well equipped and clean. Cannot recommend this enough as the location is perfect, just a 2 minute walk into Swanage. Thank you for a great long weekend.
Enjoyed Christmas week for a second time in this clean, spacious, comfortable and well equipped house. There was even a Christmas tree there to make us feel at home. Excellent communication with the owner who did everything to ensure our stay was perfect. Would highly recommend and it is in a perfect location to walk to the beach, restaurants, bars and shops.
Pamela
The property is in a lovely spot in Swanage with amazing views. We had a very comfortable stay with extended family in this lovely, spacious bungalow.
Great property being well equipped, having large rooms with good views. Position is ideal for the centre of Swanage. The conservatory was an added bonus especially in inclement weather. The welcome basket was a nice addition.
Lindsey
Lovely spacious bungalow, very accurately described on the website. It was perfect for our two families, and had everything that we needed, which I had planned but not necessarily expected! My granddaughter who is 2, loved running round safely. The weather stopped us going outside, but that would have been good too.
We stayed here for the second year in a row, and both times we have had brilliant holidays. The property is very spacious and is located just a two minute walk from the centre of Swanage. Lots to see and do in the location.
Christine
We had a lovely stay at Seaview. The property is as described, comfortable and very spacious for 7 people. Its location is great, very close to Swanage town centre, but nice and quiet and with plenty of off road parking which is rare we agree that reversing down the shared driveway is best! We agree with previous feedback that the fridge is a little small for the size of the property and in our opinion the addition of a pair of oven gloves, a tumble dryer and some fans for hot weather would all enhance the property's facilities. The property has WiFi, however the speed during our stay was very inconsistent and therefore it was not possible to stream a film. We would love to stay here again in the future if we return to Swanage with our extended family. Thanks for a nice stay.
Caroline
Well kept property, clean and as described. No complaints at all. Host contacted us prior to stay, friendly and professional. Family holiday with everything we needed for a perfect self catering stay.
Seaview is an absolute gem. The proximity to the seafront and town is a major plus point, just a couple of minutes down the hill. The house felt expansive which meant it was perfect for two families sharing without being on top of each other. Its super clean, very well presented and welcoming. Its clear how much effort is made to provide a comfortable stay for guests. Well equipped kitchen. Wed love to go back!
Great place to stay. Very comfortable with two spacious bathrooms with good showers. Easy walk into Swanage with good cafes. Recommend the Italian bakery.
Clifford
Lovely comfortable, cosy and clean property. Not wanting for any type of utensil. Would take months to read all books on offer and watch DVDs. Games in abundance, Welcome pack much appreciated. Cannot fault in any way. Sue, Cliff & Andrea
Very well located property with excellent facilities. Short walk to town and beach. The property was much bigger than we had anticipated and we were very comfortable. Very helpful and attentive owner who called us to give us the key safe number and was on hand throughout our stay, for any queries that we may have had. We would certainly recommend to others.
Robert
Great, very nice comfortable Bungalow, stay was just what we needed
The accommodation was 5 in every way, very spacious and well equipped with quality extras. The owner has gone that extra mile to ensure that holiday clients have an enjoyable stay. Home from home.
A very spacious and comfortable property, and really helpful instructions. A perfect location, just two minutes walk from the town centre.
Michael
Windows need cleaning ,as it has beautiful views
Nicholas
Lovely bungalow. Well equipped and comfortable. Would highly recommend.
Fantastic property for family holiday. The accommodation was very spacious and perfect layout for extended family group. The decor was modern, with high levels of cleanliness. Everything thought of to make arrival and stay perfect. The location was good and offroad parking was a brilliant addition to the holiday let. There is a steep hill back to the property from the seafront which can be difficult for elderly members of the family.
Fabulous. Fridge too small for size of let.
Colette
Perfect holiday home, close to the beach and town centre. Will definitely visit in the future.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Seaview. The bungalow was very well equipped and in an excellent location. Would definitely recommend this property
Kathleen
Joy and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Seaview. Its incredibly well equipped with many thoughtful extras including the welcome basket . We both slept well in excellent beds. But we did struggle with some of the modern appliances despite full instructions. Age will tell! We endorse some earlier comments such as regretting no food bin waste and no bin in the bedroom. A chair in there would have been useful as well, also a hook on both the bathroom and bedroom door. The conservatory is a wonderful facility with a pleasant outlook. We were fortunate to look out on a great array of daffodils! One practical suggestion .put the actual conservatory key on its own, and hang the other keys on a hook to the left of the sliding doors. The driveway was a challenge, no doubt the type of car, size etc. relevant to this. But we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, not least the peace and quiet, with incredible views. Much thought put into this accommodation. Many thanks. Joy and Kathleen
Pamela
Excellent bungalow and facilities. Very clean and tidy. Nice treats on arrival too.
Fabulous cottage, immaculately presented. Descriptions online accurate. Owner has labelled every control on every feature making living in the house hasslefree rare to see such care to detail. Cottage was equipped with quality fixtures, comfy beds and seating, a superb range of kitchenwear, and also rare manageable appliances. We know Swanage well and to have such comfort, so close to the seafront, with onsite parking too, is very rare.
Lovely place. Great location. At the top of a steep hill, but that's it. Literally 5 mins walk into the main part of swanage and beach. Parking for 2 cars is good, having to reverse down the drive not so good, but we didn't use the car all week as so much to do in swanage itself. Property was very spacious, the owners had thought of everything. All very clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend, and definitely stay agian. Best place we've stayed in swanage.
Christine
This family owned property is superb for our three generations of 7 guests. Plenty of space so not tripping up over each other. Outside space back and front with adequate seating and bonus double parking space. We plan to return.
Deborah
Large well equipped bungalow near to all the facilities of Swanage. In a quiet area partway up a steep hill with views of the sea. Owner phoned to give me details of code for key safe, which was good. Beds were comfortable. Advert was accurate.
A brilliantly located, spacious holiday home. A very much enjoyed stay with our family. Beach, pubs, shops and restaurants a short walk away and days out to Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and Corfe Castle on the steam train. A lovely welcome basket on arrival and plentiful information pack given. Thank you!
The property is spacious and clean with all the furniture and contents needed to make an enjoyable and comfortable stay. The welcome pack was appreciated. The location for us was excellent. We could walk from the door along the coastline and returning on circular routes and over to Corfe Castle along Ballard Down and over to Worth Matravers. It was good to have the car parking space at the cottage and we had two cars.
Excellent, spacious accommodation, very clean, modern and well appointed. Very close to town centre, shopping, restaurants etc, beach and wonderful walks etc.. Car not used all weekend.
Michael
A very spacious and clean bungalow, we would certainly recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Swanage.
