Homelands Reviews

Ann
Homelands is a wonderful property for a multi generational family to rent. It is tastefully furnished and decorated and feels like a family home. It has a well equipped kitchen. A number of different areas in which to relax together or separately. The number of bathroom/ shower rooms is excellent and almost impossible to find in other properties accomodating 8+ people. The location couldnâ??t be better for its proximity to local beaches, the South west coastal path, the Purbeck breezer open top bus to Swanage and Bournemouth, local restaurants and the marvellously equipped Studland Stores.
Elizabeth
Beautiful house in a stunning location.
Zofia
Homelands is a wonderful, spacious, generously equipped house; perfect for our three generation family holiday. Well laid out and thoughtfully furnished and didnâ??t feel precious; just a touch of comfortable tattiness, so we could really relax. We had perfect weather, so took full advantage of the outdoor dining with a sea view and the bbq. So many lovely outdoor spaces, as well as indoor. The back path to the beach is so special and lovely to let the toddlers walk down with minimal time on a road. So a fantastic setting, visually and practically. We enjoyed every minute there and didnâ??t want to leave. Thank you!
Anne
The property is perfect for multi generation families as plenty of space for everyone to enjoy. The location is great with a local shop that sells everything and beach close by.
Diane
Excellent property, good location, well equipped, the Sun deck was really useful during the day and the downstairs lounge and games room very comfortable and lovey outlook into the garden. There was a bus stop just down the road where we caught the open top bus into Bournemouth or Swanage which was free using our seniors bus passes. The Bankes Arms pub in the village did great food and the menu was changed regularly with a lovely view from its garden
Joe
Really good well equipped house with plenty of space for the whole family. The view isnâ??t bad either!
Angelica
As per the other reviews, a clean, spacious cottage in an amazing location. Comfortable beds, quiet and calm. Everyone in our group loved it. Pool table was lots of fun.
Susan
Perfect house for us with different generations and 2 dogs. Plenty of space to be together or in a quiet space alone. We enjoyed the library sitting room especially on a. miserable day when we lit the fire. I imagine it would be a fantastic house during the summer if the weather co-operated. Our main reason for choosing Homelands is the proximity to the Southwest Coast Path and some of us were able to tick off a few more miles.
John
The website said that cottage owners are not expected to provide any self catering supplies, but might. So I took everything. To my amazement we not only had a welcome pack, but just about everything you might need! A lovely cosy house, thoughfully equpped and coordinated, it looks as though the owners have really enjoyed pulling it all together, thought through what a large party mught need and even sourced a period piece of furniture for each room. My family loved the spaces and the pool table (child's cue provided). We loved the views and the owls. We watched the sun rise from our bedroom and sat outside on the decking for coffee in November - the garden has bbq and seating for the summer. We had local friends visit and they were all blown away by the house. One is even considering it for their family holiday next year.
Jamie
Homelands is a great property in a lovely location. We had a lovely week there.
Margaret
A spacious, well equipped house with a pretty garden gorgeous views and a short walk to the beach. The games room was a great hit as well as the sun deck. Would thoroughly recommend
Rosemary
The perfect holiday house! Beautifully clean, well equipped, plenty of room for 3 generations of family, outstanding views & walking distance to beach, shop & pubs. We will be back!!
Ann
Our fourth visit to this lovely property in a superb location. It is perfect for our needs as a multi generational family.
Katie
Just had a week at this lovely house with 3 generations and an elderly dog. plenty of space for everyone and very well equipped especially the kitchen. there was even dog bed and bowls. Lovely welcome basket. we used the pool table and outside balcony , with stunning view, a lot.Beds were really comfortable and rooms had lots of storage space. great location for walking to beach, pub, shop. bus stop just outside the house. the main road runs past the house but wasn't too busy or noisy for us. The stairs down to the basement were too steep for our elderly dog so we kept her upstairs but there is also access from the garden if needed. we would definitely love to come back. thank you
