Thoroughly enjoyed our stay thank you. Just the parking was an issue at times

Spring rose cottage was what we expected it was a beutifull little home with a georgous veiw all amenities close by fully stocked like a home from home it is great that it is a pet friendly home however on entry you could smell this we bought some air fresheners and that helped secondly the ensuite bathroom we were unable to use due to the shower head not staying in place this was loose so we couldnt use it the high chair wasnt useable it was left in the garden dirty the floor boards were very noisy we loved it the character of the home was beutifull but with a small toddler and children we were conscious of the noise possibly being a nuisance to neighbours maybe the first floor could be a little more sound proofed but other than this this home is a steal at the price it was it had everything and more that a family would need we even had a little bbq that we washed and used this was great the walk to the amazing chesil beach on ur doorstep is something else highly recomend spring rose cottage very quaint little home great sized rooms lovley decorated and very good price we will definitely be back
Spring Rose cottage is lovely. The space is so well thought out with the different outdoor and indoor places to rest and relax. The beds are really comfy, the kitchen very well stocked and it is in such a good location. We would definitely return and recommend this home to others.
This was our second visit to Spring Rose Cottage, we just love it! The cottage is perfect. It has everything you need. The NOW TV was a lovely bonus. You are 5 minutes from the beach, and just a few minutes from pubs and a COOP. Lidl is just under a mile away too, which we walked broken up by going via the Marina. We will be back. Just to note the walk to the beach is down a steep hill. Kept us fit for sure.
George
Lovely property , plenty space . Small comment, floors very creaky. NOW TV a great bonus

We had a lovely stay at Spring Rose Cottage. A real home from home. Very cosy, the kitchen was very well equipped, comfy beds, it had everything we needed. We had a couple of questions before we arrived, Eleanor was so helpful. We hope to visit again.
We had a lovely time. My grand children loved it. The accomodation was just great for a young family. The kitchen had everything we needed and was very well looked after.
Absolutely beautiful, clean house. However we wouldn't return because parking is an absolute nightmare!!!!! Alarm bells started as soon as we got there, one of the neighbours told us he was using his car to save the space for someone who was arriving the next day. We had to drive around for ages hoping someone would pull out of a gap, so we could park. Also the beds weren't very comfortable. For the size of the rooms they could easily fit a king size bed. My partner is 6ft 6 and really struggled to sleep all week. On a positive the house it's self was lovely and had everything you need for a family home.
Lovely house Spring Rose Cottage in Portland. Owner sent out a lovely email prior to arriving with additional details which was informative. House nice and cosy. Kitchen was well equipped with crockerycutlery etc. Beds comfy and bedroom tidy. House nicely placed. Town of Foretuneswell a little too quiet for our family but plenty of things to do in Portland with lots to explore and see around the area

Spring Rose Cottage is as described. It's very pleasant and clean and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The neighbours are friendly and helpful. There are local shops and pubs very near by. It is on a hill side, so nice views and pretty sun sets. There is a passage with steps and a steep foot path leading to the sea front, or a passage and gently sloping path on the right as you leave the property. Parking can be an issue.
Lovely cottage for adults and older children, tastefully decorated with everything you need and the owner really went out of her way to resolve a problem we had. However, despite the stair gates ground floor and second, not on the first floor where the family room is and providing a cot and high chair, we felt that it wasnt really suitable for small children and had to be constantly on alert with our crawler and preschooler. The lower, open tread, stairs and the upper narrow winding stairs were a challenge, unsecured shelving and mirrors, and just the amount of furniture squeezed in made it tricky. Sadly the outside was a complete no go from a safety point of view different levels no barriers which meant we had to keep the back door shut, such a shame as it would have been so nice to spend time out there. All in all Id highly recommend the cottage for adults and older children but for those with preschoolers Id say wait a few years and then have a lovely stay there.

A brilliant cottage. Ideally positioned, very well equipped, quite large. Many thanks.
Rebecca
Beautiful comfortable house, had just the right amount of space for all of us. Only criticism would be how noisy the floors and stairs are.
Our second visit to Portland this year and our stay at Spring Rose Cottage made it pleasant and enjoyable. The cottage was clean, very well equipped and spacious, making the perfect base to explore Portland and all it has to offer. Great communication from the host who clearly values her guests, highly recommend this property.
Had a fantastic time at Spring Rose Cottage last week. Cottage itself had everything you expect. Beautifully present and clean. Location is fantastic. So much to explore on this beautiful island. All family had brilliant time. Loads of walks and things to see. Car park was a bit of a challenge on arrival. Nevertheless there is plenty of spaces to park your car on streets nearby. 100 recommend it. Thank you.
Andrew
Very nice property, well presented with bright decor and furnishings throughout. The location is very good despite the lack of parking immediately outside and the area is pleasant with friendly local neighbours. We enjoyed our stay and would not hesitate in booking again if holidaying in the area.
Fabulous stay at Spring Rose Cottage. Easy check in. Beautiful sea views The property is as pictured. Beautiful furnishing. Facilities maintained well and very clean. Good location can easily drive to Weymouth within 1015 minutes. Plenty of on street parking in neighbouring roads. Nothing negative to say. Thank you for a great stay.
Richard
Superb cottage,very well equipped,great location
Andrea
We had an extremely comfortable stay at Spring Rose Cottage. Communication with the owner was easy & always helpful. The location was perfect close to Chesil Beach, Coop a very short walk up the road, superb fish & chip shop down the hill, a small grassy park nearby, excellent local bus service. Touches like the hose outside, throws for settees, stair gate meant that we were able to feel relaxed in the house with our very enthusiastic & frequently muddysoddensaltyseaweedy springer spaniel. Beds & showers blissful and we loved the wood burning stove....especially on rainy days.
Charlotte
This is my second time visiting and it was just as good as the first. Would highly recommend!
Lauren
A delightful property, immaculate throughout, cosy and tastefully furnished, spotless bathrooms and comfy beds, and well equipped for 6 adults and two children. Lots to see and do in the near vicinity although, being Christmas period, there were some closures. Portland Bill lighthouse and The Lobster Pot restaurant made a great day, especially the wild scenery in at strong southwesterly! Would definitely return in the summer!
We had a great stay, the location was great and the house was comfy and welcoming, the only thing I could criticise was the kitchen worktops were all sticky and didn't feel clean. I think it was down to what they were painted with and it didn't detract in any way from a great holiday in a lovely property and location. Thanks
Lovely cottage, parking bit of an issue, but plenty nearby. Lots of places to visit and the water sports centre provides good value lessons for children and adults.
NO teapot ,Small fridge,Table in and out very dirty. Kitchen OK Beds goodmliving room good. Parking is a disaster ,we had to Park on the main road .and most days queit far away.the house was for us a bad choice. All dustbins Full
Amazing property, 2x families of 4 stayed there with no inconvenience. We'll thoughtlaid out with lots of thoughtful gestures to keep everyone entertained. You went well beyond basic living
We 1 child, 3 adults very much enjoyed our stay in this lovely home. The rooms were cosy, bright and homely with many pillows and soft blankets. Our daughter loved the many Walliams books, the games' trunk and the fancy dressing table in her room. It was nice to relax on the patio. At the time of our stay, it was really quiet in the neighbourhood, which was very pleasant. Short walk to the pebble beach or to the start of the breathtaking walk around the island. Some minor comments downstairs ceiling might be too low for very tall 6ft people. The parking space might prove an issue in the really busy period. Some minor issues in the kitchen will be resolved by the lovely host. Nothing that would hold us from recommending this lovely holiday home. We would have liked to stay an extra week. Comment to agency it's a pity the cancelation assurance is only for UK residents, as this leaves foreign visitors financially unprotected in these covid times.

We had a very pleasant stay in at the cottage. We came as a family of 6 adults and one toddler and there was plenty of space for all of us. The cottage had everything we needed to in the Kitchen. All rooms were very clean and stocked up with your basic amenities to start with. Perfect location if you want to visit the beach and close by attractions. Supermarkets are within few minutes drive and there are options to choose as well Coop, Tesco, Lidl, Asda etc. Our favourite was the garden and balcony area which my twoyearold thoroughly enjoyed during morning and evening time. Emails were responded to and actioned immediately which we were very happy with, thanks to Eleanor. We would highly recommend this cottage to other family members and friend if they are planning to visit this beautiful Isle of Portland.
Alistair
The house is in a nice location apart from parking but we knew that with lots of lovely costal walks and has everything you need. Negatives the house wasnt as clean as we would have expected, dirty oven, had to unload the dishwasher on arrival and clear up dog mess from the patio. The upstairs decking also needs a good clean if your planning on using it. The neighbours at 16 park in front of the house so close to the entrance getting in and out with the babies pushchair was a daily challenge, guests are discouraged from parking to be respectful to residents but this doesnt seem to work both ways. No dishwasher salt or rinse aid so nothing was cleaned meaning we washed by hand but only one tea towel provided.
Darren
A beautiful home, plenty of space and all the comforts that you need from a holiday home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the home fully delivered.
Nothing to report it was a lovely stay very cosy with the log fire as the weather wasnt so great but we made the list if it by going for walks and the everyone was friendly in the street. I would stay there again. The stairs are steep which kept us fit during the bad weather. It was nice to get away and see sone terrific waves.
Charlotte
An absolutely wonderful place to stay! Booked this with friends for a New Years getaway, and cannot fault it. Incredibly clean, really spacious and all the amenities needed for a brilliant break. I would recommend Spring Rose Cottage to anyone young groups and families alike.
Place was exactly as described. We all had a really great, cozy time!! Would recommend to anyone and would visit again. All information provided beforehand was helpful and accurate. Thanks.
