The bathroom downstairs is not fit for purpose. No proper shower in it. The cutlery was grubby, but the rest of the house was fine.

Perfect location with great views over the harbour although we had to move some furniture to take advantage of them. The house was very clean and well equipped but the furniture was a little dated. Overall a wonderful stay and I would recommend to family and friends.

We have been staying at Mutiny House since 2013 and have always appreciated the facilities and the fabulous location. However the property is getting tired and in need of a thorough overhaul. The decor is dated, the furniture and carpets are in need of a good clean and the bedding is grubby and stained when the covers are removed. Some of the kitchen utensils were broken and there were no sharp kitchen knives to prepare food. There seemed to be maintenance issues as the upstairs landing light flickered on and off in the evenings. In addition, the plumbing was noisy, particularly in the upstairs toilet and the drain in the ensuite downstairs shower room was slow draining. The reported addition of a shower in the downstairs bathroom was eagerly awaited, but turned out to be a hand held device fixed to the tap with no means of securing it to the wall and no shower screen. Disappointing. Downstairs guests still took it in turns to use the shower in the main bedroom. Overall, we love the house as it is excellent for multigenerational parties such as ours and the support received from the local office is brilliant. However, the property needs a bit of TLC to bring it into the 21st century.

Great location, plenty of space in rooms, with bedrooms being on the ground floor street noise can be loud at night times. During high season parking can be hit and miss even with the permit. Would we stay again Yes definitely.

The house is lovely clean and relaxing a perfect base for a holiday. It was April and the house was warm in the evenings with the heating as it was set up. All the extra bits that were there when we arrived were much appreciated the cleaning kit tea biscuits etc even with a shop just 100yds away. Thank you for letting your house to us for a week.

Would really love an over bath shower in the downstairs bathroom. Nothing fancy. But both showers are in bedrooms otherwise. Which is not always convenient when sharing the house with family friends. Otherwise this is a gorgeous place and we are already booked in for next year!

The location of the property is perfect. however it would benefit from some updating, 1. kitchen floorboards creek and make sleeping in the room underneath it impossible. 2. no toilet rolls in bathrooms 3. kitchen crockery very basic 4. kitchen utensils poor quality

This cottage has the best views ever your just right there in the harbour its a lovely cottage with plenty of room. The only down fall was it smelt a lot the room need to be updated the couch in the living room is old and smells , the kitchen needs a good clean in the cupboards or just put a new kitchen in ! The cleaners could do a better job too other than that its based in a lovely place not far from everything .

The property location is fabulous. The property needs to be cleaned thoroughly after checkouts. Kitchenware needed cleaning as it had dried food marks. Oven trays could do with replacing as they have burnt food marks etc. Dishwasher not cleaned with food at the bottom. Fridge was not working. This should have been sorted before check in but we had to flag it. The owner of the property responded quickly to repair the fridge but it took 2 attempts to get it working leading to food spoiling in the meantime. This messed up the first few days of our holidays. A cleaner was sent to clean some of the areas and utensils etc in the kitchen and the floors and vacuumcleaned when we flagged this up but not all the cleaning could be done we were told so the property could do with a mega clean up and replacement of some of the equipment mentioned. Double bed in room to the right side of entrance hallway is not comfortable consider replacing mattress. Floors need deep cleaning as well as skating boards and walls. Too dusty in areas. One of the large sofas upholstery worse for ware needs mending. Bedside lamp is temperamental not switching on at times but flickering.

Fantastic views, property clean and tidy. Need better instructions for the heating system, the dining chairs have been recovered, shame about the holes in the arm of the sofa. Kitchen floorboards very noisycreaky when walking across them which disturbs the guests in the downstairs bedrooms. Overall the property needs a little updating, but is in a good location. Request to have beds changed around slightly was happily accommodated.

The house is lovely and well situated , we have stayed there 6 times and are back again in march , it has one major issue which is very annoying to the downstairs guests , its the kitchen floor , it seriously need the Lino taken up and the floor boards either renewed or re scewed as its very noisy and annoying , but we love the property

Just had our second stay at Mutiny House with our four friends , enjoyed it even more than last time. We found great places to eat and lots of things to do and visit . The house was well maintained but the three piece suite is showing wear there were comprehensive instructions and everything you would need for a weeks stay , the location was unbeatable , magical ! The parking permit was very welcome , two permits would have been helpful .Thank you for a wonderful week.

Very comfortable and well equipped property in an ideal location

Unusually Dream Cottages' housekeeping was a little lax this visit, although cleanliness could not be faulted. Mutiny House comfortably accommodates a party of six, but not seven which we were. In a central position on Brewers Quay with pubs and shops on your doorstep. Booked off Sykes Cottages' website, a Company together with it's many subsidiaries that I will never use again. If you do be sure to read the terms and conditions thoroughly first, as I was told I should have done.

Fine property and in spot reasonable distance to everything. Only real issue is people parking outside front doorin front of two of the bedrooms late in day and overnight. Traffic warden only comes around once a day and early. Signs outside saying no parking but locals and one only lives immediately to the right of Mutiny House put their vans there and don't give a wosit. Owner or holiday company really need to get something sorted rather than just sit back as seems to be a regular and very annoying problem

There is one major problem with the property is that the kitchen floor creeks really badly , when you walk in the kitchen it disturbs anyone sleeping in rooms below , Im sure this could be resolved by pulling back the Lino and screwing down floor boards as its very disturbing and annoying , other than that its a fantastic holiday home and we will be rebooking

Fabulous weeks stay in Mutiny House, really felt like a home from home. Perfectly comfortable, warm and cosy. Superb views from the Lounge and kitchen windows to enjoy watching all the river and harbour activities. Just a short stroll to great pubs and cafes which we thoroughly enjoyed each day. Would highly recommend the Red Lion just around the corner for excellent food and great boho atmosphere. Enjoyed lovely walks along harbour and seafront everyday with plenty of places to stop for a coffee or pint along the way. Will certainly be rebooking Mutiny House for another visit to Weymouth, hopefully soon.

Such a beautiful location, walking into that upstairs sitting room every morning was truly breathtaking! Best crabbing in Weymouth right outside the door. Get some take away drinks from the pub. Adults and kids sorted. Halcyon days. Its a quiet area at night and busy in the day. Its a working harbour so lots of busyness, excited seagulls etc. But we loved all that. The house is fantastic. We were two families with kids who were teens and early twenties and there was space for all to be comfortable and enough bathrooms! The kitchen seemed to have enough resources. Great to have the big fridge freezer. Everything was working and beautifully clean. The parking space was a bonus. Especially in this prime location. Every morning wed take our coffee and go and sit on the harbour wall and watch the world go by. Going to miss that! But weve already booked for next year.

We have stayed at this property numerous times but this time we were disappointed with the conditions we found. Pots, pans and oven trays all needed washing as they were not in a useable condition. The showers were grubby with black mould around the shower trays and grouting. The shower heads need descaling and the shower hoses and bathroom taps all need a good clean. The skirtings of all rooms were dusty and the undersides of the kitchen cabinets dirty. In addition, the sofas and easy chairs are stained on the backs and arms and in need of cleaning. The carpets are also showing their age and would benefit from professional cleaning. The curtains in the downstairs double bedroom are still shedding their lining, a fact reported previously. Although we enjoyed our stay at this property, it was largely due to the excellent location and the efforts of Dream Cottages staff to address our concerns.

Coat hooks would be good in the entrance hall. Only two of us stayed so we didn't use the ground floor at all, we were very comfortable living upstairs. We loved the position of the house on the quayside. We parked the car and didn't use it at all during our stay, everything was in walking distance. Another lovely holiday in Mutiny House, despite the weather. Many thanks to management services for promptly sorting out the few glitches, even replacing the tumble dryer in record time. Perhaps the owners could be persuaded to leave a few spare light bulbs as the bulb in the standard lamp was not working and none of the others in the house were of the same fitting. In addition, the large lounge needs more than the overhead light to comfortably illuminate the area around the dining table, possibly another standard lamp behind the armchair or in the corner behind the table? In addition, the DVD player may benefit from a head clean as it would only play three of the eight dvds we brought with us. However, niggles aside, it is a nice, well equipped property in a brilliant location and we will be back again next year.

Lovely holiday again this year. Always spotlessly clean and welcoming. Just one point although not too serious but when you are downstairs, you can hear anyone walking around in the kitchen upstairs as the floorboards tend to creak quite a lot. Once again though we all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mutiny House.Thank you.

The location is amazing and the house is lovely. The kitchen does lack in a few basics if you like to cook at home. The downstairs bedrooms can be a bit noisy due to the location, but that is a really small price to pay for being in this location. Had the most amazing week with my mum and my brother and my 2 kids 9 & 7 they loved crabbing every night just outside the front door. I cant wait to bring my husband here and stay here again. Great restaurants and cafes around I parked the car up and didnt get back in it for a week perfect. Thank you mutiney house we will definitely be back

We have just returned from this property. It was clean, spacious enough for our family of 7, in a perfect location with a gorgeous view. We went crabbing every night with the little ones and could walk to Weymouth beach within 15 minutes so the car was never used. Only downfall to this property was the back garden it is a small paved alleyway that holds the bins and which next door overlooks. Also, don't expect to sleep in past 7.15 am as all recycling garbage trucks, delivery vans, vans delivering kegs etc park right outside the 2 bedrooms which are located downstairs. However, despite the few niggles, it wouldn't put us off from staying here again.
