Pebbles Reach Reviews

Pamela
A wonderful stay in a perfect setting, close to the beach and the Cove Inn which is a wonderful welcoming pub, the sunset there is breath taking! We really really loved our stay everything we needed was perfect for our needs, we shall return!
Beautiful, well equipped property in a lovely area. We loved our stay at Pebbles Reach.
We had a great stay. The house is lovely with plenty of room. The kitchen was very large and well equipped. The shower was excellent It is in a very quiet location .Would definitely recommend.

Lovely spacious comfortable property. Great location.Would definitely go back to it.
The shower hadnt been cleaned ! Bathroom corners filthy! Hand prints over patio doors and tv! Crumbs under and on large kitchen table! Loss of dust on bed frames! Not just a couple days worth ! Be good to have more privacy in front bedroom ! So we slept in the back room! Utility loads of dirty corners and dead flies I have many photos as I was pretty upset with the uncleanliness! The cleaning is a real issue as the property is lovely !
Beautiful cosy cottage. Very clean.
Beautiful place and very central for all things in Dorset to visit
Nice property, well equipped, in a good location for access to the harbour and particularly the WPNSA.
Lovely home, very quiet area. Space in home is great very roomy. Only 2 of us stayed here so it was just used as a base but the kitchen was fully equipped should you wish to cook. The only thing that was missing and this is personal opinion based on other places we have rented there was no games, cards etc for children normally there is a cupboard full so maybe this would be a nice addition for a family using the property. Will definitely stay again if in the area.

We thought it was a lovely property great location so that we could go and explore. Each room tastefully decorated to give a nautical feel about the place We did enjoy sitting in the courtyard at the end of the day with a glass of wine as the Sun went down We did think the booklet that came with the property could have had more information regarding what was on Portland itself rather than focus on Weymouth Other than that we had an amazing day thank you very much
An excellent house in a lovely development that was built for the 2012 Olympics. Good sized well equipped kitchen and comfortable living room. Beds were comfortable and the showers were very good. The enclosed outdoor area was very useful particularly with our small dog. There are a number of very local green spaces to walk your dog.
A very smart and comfortable holiday let. The layout is ideal with the large kitchen dining room on the ground floor and the spacious living room with its access to the outside terrace on the first floor. Comfortable beds and everywhere was very clean and well maintained. Location was ideal for us to explore both Portland and the coastline nearby. Only thing missing is hanging space for clothes as only one of the bedrooms has a wardrobe.
We had a great time at Pebbles Reach, the house was like a second home to us, we felt so welcome as soon as entered the house. A wonderful place to stay, a short distance to Chesil Beach and a short drive to Weymouth. Thoroughly enjoyed chilling out there and the house had everyuthiung we needed and more. Thank you for a lovely peaceful holiday.
This is a very pleasant clean, roomy and well equipped property. On a quiet estate with parking for two vehicles in front of the house . It is s well placed for access to Chesil Beach and the Port with it's historic castle, D Day museum and modern marina amenities.

All down stairs radiators were really rusty and needed painting. Skirting boards were very dusty and downstairs needed painting in areas. Toilets were faulty and took along time to fill up, in turn wasting a lot of water. Main issue there were loads and loads of Ants in the kitchen, there are previous comments regarding this some please act and get this sorted!! Also dishwasher door spring is broken which needs attention. Overall we had a really nice time and the place is lovely just needs some maintenance, we paid a lot as it was half term week so you would not really expect these issues.
The property was excellent there was just 2 things i think could improve ratings ... The property was excellent there was just 2 things i think could improve ratings , Hand soap not small bars of soap in the toilets with hand towels and wardrobes in the 2 bedrooms , my family , 4 other adults didnt have anywhere to hang their clothes in the family room and twin room , apart from this a very spacious lovely family home , the terrace was amazing lovely little sun trap , will definitely return, thank you
All the facilities and equipment was good and functioning. The house and furniture was very neutral and pleasant. The outside patio area might need a bit of TLC before the summer really gets going as it was a bit untidy and needed a good pressure wash and weed. Its a seaside house so windows are bound to get salt water marks on them but they didnt look like theyd been cleaned for a while. The bathrooms were clean and nice. We couldnt get really hot water in the first floor bathroom so showers and baths there were a bit lukewarm. But the top floor shower was boiling hot and couldnt seem to turn it down! On the ground floor there is a problem with ants which I discovered after leaving a packet of mint humbugs on the shelf in the hallway. They were crawling over and inside the packet so I had to throw them away. I think this is a known problem because there was ant powder under the sink to use. The bedding and pillows were soft and clean but we found the beds a bit uneven and ended up sleeping in separate beds to avoid rolling together! Lots of cupboard space for clothes! Overall we had a lovely week exploring the local area and the house was a nice place to have a base to do that.
Very spacious and comfortable property, we only wish we had longer there! It was the perfect base for the sailing academy and lovely to be so close to Chesil Beach. Very comfy beds, lots of cooking equipment and very convenient parking. We would love to come back.
Great location , clean , well furnished we had a lovely week.
Lovely house, well located. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. Would happily stay here again.

Perfect little get away with my partner and 2 dogs. Only issue we had was the nosey rude neighbour 20 seconds after pulling up. And looking for the property details other than that perfect. Maybe have the property name a little bigger and more visible. I.e a plack on the wall instead of the bottom window

I rented this property for a surprise family get together we had the most ... I rented this property for a surprise family get together we had the most amazing time the property was completely immaculate and comfortable the house keeping team went above and beyond to ensure we had all we needed throughout our stay the maintenance team also clearly have everything in hand too would recommend dream cottages to all my family and friends cant wait to return
Enjoyed our stay, very well equipped and comfortable house, ideally situated. Would be useful to have the instruction for the washing machine etc in the information folder as we didnt find them until late in the week. To appeal to older couples it would be nice to have a zip and link kingsize bed in the childrens room that could then be separated if needed. We used the childrens room so we had sole access to the second bathroom as our friends had the en suite.

Very clean and lots of light. Lovely comfortable beds. Great central position for touring the area. Highly recommended.

We had 2 occasions to contact Dream Cottages. They were responsive and dealt with the issues raised quickly. One issue, freezer broken, obviously could not be replaced immediately but they brought us a temporary portable freezer. The new fridge freezer was in situ within a couple of days Another issue which has been mentioned on previous reviews is the outside terrace garden. Its is full of weeds and looks rather unkempt. The isssue, also mentioned before, is Ants which are in abundance in the downstairs areas. Finally it would have been useful to us in the description if we had known that the housing complex was next to an industrial estate.
Has an ats nest somewhere nearby, there was loads of ants in the kitchen. Everything else was spot on, we really enjoyed our holiday

Nothing like pictures 3 toilets but top floor only one what works really garden ... Nothing like pictures 3 toilets but top floor only one what works really garden a mess shower full a limescale worste one ave stopped at well overpriced for what it is

We enjoyed the stay at the property, but there were a few minor items that were a little disappointing. 1 Toilet roll provided was minimal, and soon required replenishment. For the amount of money paid, it would be nice to have this provided. 2 There was no brown bin for the food waste, so we contrary to requirements, we had to put food waste in with the general rubbish. 3 Both recycling, bottle and general waste bins were full. We could not fit in our waste. 4 Towards the end of our stay we had an email requesting us to clean the property, however, there were not really any cleaning materials or items that we could use. We did hoover, and left it as clean as possible. Despite these relatively minor items, we enjoyed our few days in the Portland and Weymouth area.
Fantastic holiday in Portland , the house had everything we needed for our family to stay for a week. Beds were very comfortable , fully equipped kitchen with lovely appliances and the house was lovely and warm.
Andrew
We loved the house it was very spacious and comfortable everything that youd want on holiday. It was nice and quiet in the square. It would have been nice if there was a patch of grass on the terrace garden or artificial turf for the dog but thats us being a little picky. Lovely walk down to the marina and a couple of places to hang out especially rock the boat. Bowleaze Cove is a great place to go if youve got your 4 legged friend with you, its all dog friendly and plenty of places to relax for food etc. youll find it at the far end of Weymouth at Preston. All in all a great holiday
Excellent well kept property, clean, tidy and ideal for a family stay. Part of a complex of similar properties with a good feeling and atmosphere. Close to beach and amenities. My only negative comment would be lack of street lighting in operation at night making the late dog walk a little concerning.
The property was absolutely fantastic. Lovely and clean and with everything you could require for a holiday. The tea and biscuits was a nice touch. Great location and would definitely recommend and stay again.
Lovely home, modern, clean, plenty of room. would have been nice to have had a full length mirror. Enjoyed doing a little weeding as a lovely patio area to sit out on, with some beautiful plans trying to grow among the weeds. Would really recommend Pebbles Reach.
Superbly appointed property.
Super property. Super location. The standard of fittings, decoration and furnishings are second to none. A wonderful break with the added bonus of glorious weather. We shall return!
Fantastic property in a great location. Perfectly positioned for day trips to the surrounding areas. House was very well equipped, spacious and nicely presented. Would definitely recommend! Our one and only suggestion for improvement would be to put some proper curtainsblackout blind up in the twin room with children staying in that room, they are extremely likely to wake up with the sunrise!
