Brook Cottage Reviews

Brenda
Fabulous cottage. Really comfortable, warm and cosy. Easy walks along country lanes just outside the door. Best cottage we've stayed at for good facilities. Really well equipped. Would and have recommended to family and friends.
Brook cottage is a quirky gorgeous property loads of space to spread out. Large well equipped kitchen with loads of seating very comfortable beds. There was 7 of us and we had a fabulous weekend.
Mohammed
Great property for the family. Well appointed and clean. Plenty of crockery high end ones no less. Great water pressure. Comfy beds. Huge garden very popular with the kids. Although drive is shared with next door kingfisher cottage, it was no problem, we had 4 cars and fitted perfectly fine. Beds were comfy and only reason for 45 for comfort is due to two of the rooms facing the side where over the fence there's building works taking place only on weekdays though. But I'm sure that's only for a temporary period and probably a non issue come next year. This shouldn't detract from what is a great cottage and credit to the owners, would recommend and hence why the overall 5 stars.
If you are looking for peace and quiet in beautiful, comfortable surroundings, this is the place for you. We stayed at Brook Cottage as an adult family group and found it very spacious and wellequipped. We would definitely book again if we had the opportunity.

Just returned from a lovely weekend away at Brook Cottage for a family celebration. Cottage was well equipped, very comfortable and the facilities were excellent. 5 lovely double bedrooms with 4 bathrooms plus the downside toilet was a bonus. We had lovely weather so utilised the outside space, great covered area with lighting. Kitchen was large and became the social hub, lovely to have a kitchen table big enough to seat 10 adults. Plenty of parking aswell. The communication from Helena was superb. Would visit again.

Brook Cottage is a spacious , comfortable and well equipped holiday venue. The owners were very welcoming and quickly answered any queries or small problems. The house is welllocated for visiting the interesting local towns and sights though a car is essential because of the rural setting.
Joanna
This was one of the best cottages we have ever stayed in well equipped, spacious, peaceful and furnished to a high spec. It also had a beautiful garden. It was very well located in easy access of nearby towns, but in a rural and tranquil setting. I would thoroughly recommend it.
Deborah
We had a fabulous family weekend stay at Brook Cottage. The house was plenty big enough for 8 adults and 3 little ones. All the bedrooms are a comfortable size and having 4 bathrooms plus a downstairs toilet was very convenient !. The kitchen is very well equipped, with the large table making eating together very enjoyable, and the Aga kept us toasty. I was especially impressed by how cosy the whole house was, given we had a couple of frosty nights everyone was warm. We were able to enjoy the large garden, playing table tennis and watching the kites and buzzards overhead, and follow paths from the garden gate across the fields. Especially helpful were the comprehensive instructions so we knew how everything worked. This is a beautiful cottage in a tranquil location, perfect for a large group or family. We would definitely love to return!
Perfect holiday cottage for a short break for a group of friends. Only fault was a tin opener which didn't work!
For a group of 9 adults who wanted a winter break this cottage was great. Warm and cosy, comfortable beds and good bathrooms. Plenty of room for us to all get round the table together and each lounge was big enough to accommodate us all. There were walks from the cottage but you need a car to get into the local town. Lots of interesting places to visit within a 20 mile radius. A very peaceful location in the Dorset countryside, we really enjoyed it.
Absolutely beautiful cottage loads of space layout superb . Great place if you want to just switch off or if you dont mind a short drive plenty of pubs local. Shops .

We were a family party of 10 staying at Brook Cottage. It was a wonderful property with great facilities and amenities. The large bedrooms and bathrooms meant there was no arguing about who had which room! Great quality bedding and towels etc throughout. Although our stay was in winter, we made use of the covered outdoor area which was lovely and cosy and the large garden must be great in the spring and summer. The host's communication was excellent throughout and there were clear instructions regarding the ovens. heating etc. The cottage is in a lovely rural location with plenty of parking for large groups and there is plenty to do in the charming nearby villages and lovely local walks. We can't wait to visit again
For a large party weekend or holiday this house in gorgeous countryside is exceptional. With five delightful, spacious bedrooms and two lounges there is plenty of space. Everything is of a higher than normal quality from the cups to the topspec televisions. The kitchen is so large ,well equipped and warmed by the lovely Aga it became the meeting hub for planning our cycling routes out into the surrounding hills and villages. Back from our ride on the Wessex Ridgeway there is masses of outdoor furniture even a heated covered table for drinks and exaggerated tales of cycling skill ! Sunday lunch at The Ibberton in the next village was superb. Communication with the owner was brilliant, they really wanted to make sure we had a perfect stay. In the 15 years we have been having our 'weekends away' Brook Cottage has been voted best of all for comfort, facilities and location, we will be going back
Ursula
Found the house and outside space very much as advertised. Probably the best for provided holiday rental in my experience in terms of cooking supplies incl. oil, condiments, herbs, sauces and more. Plenty of crockerycutlery for large party. Nice beds and bedding. Owner is very responsive to questions. Lovely big house with a lot of character. The wooden seating table on the front lawn is a bit rickety, but the main area to the side of the house is well set up. We loved our stay.
